One Ski. Three Shots. Zero Regrets.

Some ideas are better than others. Building a shotski at work? We’re still deciding.

With the launch of the new Foundry THC Spirits, we figured it was finally time to make one of our own. So we found a vintage ski, gathered the tools, convinced the boss this was a good idea, and got to work.

A few drills, a little decorating, and several questionable measurements later, we had ourselves a fully functional Foundry shotski.

Now we’re showing you how to make one, too. Grab an old ski, round up your people, and let the good times commence.

Just remember: Measure twice. Pour once.

01. Find Your Ski

First things first: find a ski with some personality.

Vintage wood skis give the shotski that classic look, but fiberglass skis can work, too. Just make sure whatever you choose is sturdy enough to handle a few rounds.

02. Clean it up

Give that ski a little attention.

Remove any old hardware, screws, brackets, or anything else that’s still hanging on from its previous life.

Once it’s stripped down, give the ski a good wipe with a water-based cleanser to remove dirt, dust, and whatever else it’s picked up over the years. Let it dry completely before moving on.

03. Attach the Hardware

Before you start drilling holes, figure out where everything is going.

Lay out your shot mounts and mark their positions with tape or pencil. Mark your center point. 18–20 inches (45–50 cm) apart is a good distance, giving everyone enough room to line up comfortably without bumping heads or crowding the toast.

Measure twice. Drill once. You know the drill.

Literally.

Time to make it official.

Use your marks as a guide and carefully drill the holes for your shot mounts. Safety first: wear eye protection and make sure the ski is securely positioned before drilling.

Attach the mounts with your screws and screwdriver, then give everything a good once-over to make sure it’s secure.

Nobody wants a rogue shot glass halfway through the toast.

04. Make It Pretty

Time to Decorate.

We’re keeping ours close to the original vintage look, then adding a little Foundry personality with hand-painted lettering and cut vinyl.

But this is where you can make it your own.

Stain it. Paint it. Add your name. Add your crew’s name. Go full vintage ski lodge. Keep it minimal. Cover the whole thing in stickers.

There really isn’t a wrong answer.

05. Pour. Toast. Repeat.

That’s it. You’ve officially built yourself a shotski.

Now grab your crew, pour your Foundry THC Spirit, and put that thing to work.

Just remember: THC beverages can take time to kick in, and effects vary from person to person. Start low, go slow, and know your limits. And as always, don’t drive after consuming THC.

Then raise the ski, count it down, and…

“Pour me another!”
